Hi everybody! My name is Ely and I’m a Work and Travel participant from China. I’ve had so many new experiences in the U.S. – let me tell you a story about my first camping trip!
I recently went camping for the first time. I had never been camping in my home country of China! My landlord and I drove to a campsite and passed lots of adorable horses on the way. We drove slowly and took many pictures!
At the campsite, I met my landlord’s friends and introduced myself. I cooked some Chinese food for dinner and I was surprised that Americans love Chinese food! They said I did a great job cooking it – I am so proud of the experience!
After dinner, we built a campfire and sat around the beach singing and playing guitar. We even found a crab on the beach! Everyone was cheerful and it was a wonderful night.
My landlord explained to me that Americans often go camping with their friends to relax. In China, we seldom go to parks or islands to go camping so this was a whole new experience! I loved this evening – camping was so enjoyable! If you have a chance to go camping, you can’t miss it! It’s a great weekend trip!
