When I initially planned to go on this trip, I knew everything would be new and a complete mystery for me. I was excited, but also nervous. I know very little about the world, but as I witnessed this beautiful view from the plane, I forgot all about those things. Looking down at the cotton clouds on my flight from China, I wished I could lie on them.

I never would have imagined, me, a girl born in southern China, would spend the first time making dumplings (a typical Chinese dish) in the U.S. My family and I do not eat dumplings that much, so I don’t even know how to make one. I felt very proud.

The owners of the house, the Lyon family, are not only friends but they are like siblings. I cooked Chinese dishes for them; they loved it. They mean so much to me. Our friendship is priceless.

On 4th of July, I took part in a photo contest hosted by I-House office; I won the prize with this photo!

We held a Hot Pot Party with some friends from all over China. We are so lucky to be here and meet each other. One of my photos was reposted by CCI Greenheart’s Instagram – it was such a surprise for me!

I try my best to work hard. I love my job very much. I get along with all my co-workers, and respect all of them. I am so happy I can work with them, and receive such good comments on all the things I’ve done worthy. I truly appreciate this program giving me such happy feelings. I will be sure to do my best in the future. I believe every time I do my best, I receive higher results.
