Well, our participants are just about ready to arrive (mid-June) and we are very excited to have them join our team. Since we really want them to feel at home, I’ve been talking to my team consistently, so they can help me give them a proper welcome upon arrival. This includes preparing a welcome gift, picking a nice room where they will stay during their time with us, as well as crafting a proper on-boarding training checklist to help them acclimate as easily as possible.

Of course, when they arrive, they will be a bit tired from the long flight, so we don’t expect them to start working right away. Instead, we’re planning on giving them a few days-off after arrival so they can rest, relax, take in a few sites, and get used to their new environment. They are certainly a long way from home, so we’re going to do all that we can to make them feel comfortable.

We’ve also communicated with them on several occasions during the past couple of weeks (mainly via e-mail) in order to properly plan for their arrival and transportation from the airport to the property. To us, it’s important that this be handled properly and efficiently, so that when they get here, they are not overwhelmed. They can comfortably arrive at our property without much stress. To expedite their arrival, we’ve provided them with information regarding where to catch the shuttle, how much it costs, how long it will take to get to our property, etc.

We really hope they are as excited to join us as we are to have them be part of our team.

This program has proven to be rewarding for both the hotel and participants and we’re going to do everything we can to help this trend continue.
